I am a retired engineer with experience in Electro-Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Operations Management.

In 1983 I began hand-painting shirts for my first grandchild and learned airbrushing from a friend. I fell in love with the airbrush's magic way of creating tone and shading, and used the technique on t-shirts, canvas, jackets and tile. Over the years I attended workshops, read airbrush magazines, talked with other artists, and studied videos to augment my practicing and to perfect my techniques.

When I retired in 1993, I directed my hobby into making refrigerator magnets by painting miniature works of art onto 2-inch square ceramic tiles, clear coating the design with multiple coats of urethane, and affixing an extra powerful magnet to insure maximum gripping strength. Because I hand-paint each tile individually, no two magnets are exactly alike...just like snowflakes.

Some of my design categories include animals, birds, metaphysical, country, American Indian, landmarks, flowers, Egyptian, music, and New Age motifs.

I also create special designs for parties, weddings, and business logos.

My most fulfilling moments take place when the recipient gasps,"Wow, these are gorgeous."

And of course, there are those precious moments when each one of my nine grandkids has asked me to help him/her hold the airbrush so that he/she could spray his/her own special design onto a t-shirt.
